At a casual glance one may be tempted to view this as a photographic print of a typical gabled Cape Dutch farmstead, with its dappled shadows and architectural precision - however on closer inspection the illusion is broken by the loose brush strokes and vivid contrasts between the stark whitewashed walls and pops of green.
